Blue Bird Berlin Film UG
was founded in 2026 by director, writer, and producer Nina I. Roerig and emerged from the film production company Der Blaue Vogel Berlin Film, which had been in existence since 2018.
About us
We produce feature-length documentaries and are working on the development of two feature films.
Our team consists of freelancers and artists who form a team for each project.

Before Nina I. Roerig founded the film production company she conceived and direcedt several full-length dance theater productions (“Out of Paradise” 1999, “Border City” 2001/2002, sponsored by the Capital Cultural Fund Berlin, premiered at the Akademie der Künste Berlin, “Skinhead”, Neukoellner Oper, 2005). She then went on to become an award- winning film director (“Bus to Russia”, premiered at the 2003 Berlinale) and received praise from critics and audiences (“Three Heroines Search for A Home”/ “Patriotinnen”, premiered at the Art Doc Fest in 2013: Sueddeutsche Zeitung: “The first dog you pet ... A great film”. MAZ: ‘The completely wonderful documentary film”.
